The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has been providing technical assistance to the NDA of Bangladesh to set up the NDA Secretariat, strengthen its capacity and support in selection of potential NIEs for accreditation. Under this process the NDA of Bangladesh identified 14 national agencies, mostly from the public sector, as potential NIEs. Upon request of the NDA, GIZ assigned a consultant to support a preliminary self-assessment process. This process was aimed at identifying strengths and weaknesses of the potential NIEs to qualify for accreditation. GIZ supported a strategic workshop to facilitate the selection and preparation of the potential NIEs. This report summarizes the presentations and discussions from the workshops as well as key findings.
